1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Kathaayan ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Kathaayan generates short vertical videos from text prompts and reference material you provide, using third-party AI models. Output is produced automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended content.
3. Your content & rights
You retain ownership of the brand assets, images, logos, scripts, and other material you upload ("Your Content"). You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use Your Content - including any names, likenesses, trademarks, logos, and copyrighted works - and that processing it through the Service will not infringe anyone's rights. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transform Your Content solely to provide the Service.
4. AI-generated output
Videos are AI-generated. We make no guarantee that output is accurate, original, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output and for how you use, publish, or distribute it. Do not use the Service to create unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content, or to impersonate real people without authorization.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no illegal content, no infringement of others' intellectual property or privacy, no attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, and no automated abuse of the generation endpoints.
6. Plans, credits & payment
Paid plans and credits, where offered, are billed via our payment processor (Stripe). Credits are consumed when you generate. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice.
7. Intellectual property
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, you own the final videos you generate. We own the Service, software, and brand. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the Service.
8. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 3 months.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
